WAIHI, 17th June.

An elderly single man named Robert Wiseman, an employee of the Waihi Company, while crossing the railway line at Waikino, was knocked down by a train. The cow-catcher threw him clear of the line. He sustained severe injuries to the head and body, and was taken to Waihi Hospital, where a few hours later lie died.
