A meeting of shareholders of the New Zealand Crown Mine decided to recommend that the business of the company be wound up. The chairman said the London directors had cabled, advising them to face the position. Approximate funds amounted to £5507, of which £5500 was held in London. It was further resolved that the shareholders were opposed to the proceeds being used in any foreign venture.
