SOUTHLAND WOOL
A STATEMENT QUESTIONED,
(BI TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.}
INVERCARGILL, This Day.
The Woolbrokers' .Association points out that Mr. Harold Beauchamp's quotation of the value of Southland wool per bale is misleading. The bales used here are about half a hundredweight less than in other centres, which accounts for the difference of £4 10s. The average price realised at Invercargill is nearly fifteenpence a pound, which is about the average for the Dominion.
