The development of the innumerable industries in which machinery is used has opened up a wide field for the operations of the engineer, and machinist, of which due advantage has been taken. The work of an engineer or general machinist is of a very important character, and to be successful his knowledge must be of the most comprehensive, description. In this connection mention must bo made of G. S. Mowat, whose operations are, of a multifarious nature.
