INSURANCE OF SCHOOLS
The insurance of 6chool buildings against fire was advocated by Mr. K. A. Wright, ,M.P., at the meeting of the Wellington Education Board to-day. The secretary of the board explained that after a building had been up for twenty years the Department allowed a progressive rate per year for depreciation. 'Die board had found that with the destruction o! buildings by fire these allowances had not been sufficient to provide for replacements. The board under the circumstances had insured its own buildings against fire that had not been up twenty years.
