SMOKER'S HAPPY THOUGHT
Smokers who travel cityward^ by rail or tram are not enjoying the ride owing to the influenza, restrictions necessitating the wearing of masks (says' the Sydney Sun). A pipoless Nicotonian is, as a.rule, an unhappy individual. When he cannot burn matches and blow smoke .from his mouth things are not running free. Many odd methods ■ are resorted to by those who must ha.ye their regulation number of draws before the day's work begins. A Turramurra man, who lives too close to tho railway to give him much chance of a smoke before reaching tho station, has i'nought out a plan by which he ciin get an extra draw or two. He takes a full pipe into the bathroom. He fires up before he strips for the shower. With the pipe drawing freely he turns the pipe upside down, readies for the soap, and turns on the water.
