Trips by. air-car will almost certainly be possible for the general public before the end of 1919, and no doubt love 'of excitement and the craze for speed will attract a certain number to try the new method of locomotion. But a great many of these will experince considerable disappointment in the lack of scenic interest. At a height of anything over 5000 to 6000 feet the earth's physical features appear to be reduced to a uniform flatness, and a tour over mountains would be almost as uninteresting, from the point of view of scenery, as one across flat swampy country.
