BREAK AND ENTER A SCHOOL.

Four young, boys were brought' before Mr. F, V. Frazer, S.M., at the Juvenile Court this rnorning, qfn. a charge that between 28th January and 3rd February they broke and entered the Te Aro Infant School, Ghaznoe-street, and caused considerable damage to the contents of the various cupboards. Plain-clothes Constable Black stated' that he had made certain inquiries as a result of the complaint, and on questioning the four boys they all admitted hay, ing .been in the school. It was difficult to" say whiph lad had.been the ringleader, as it appeared to him that all the boys were "in the game." One of' the boys had been under the observance of the Probation Officer on a charge of theft at the Mount Cook Softool some time- previously. Addressing all four, Mr', Frazer said : "You are charged with breaking and entering a school. •■ This is a pretty serious charge, and if you weTe men you woidd be sentenced to a long term of imprisonment. You no doubt' thought that your actions'proved highly amusing at first,. but I am sure you are sorry for them now. My advice to you is this : Don't do such a thing again; you are sure to get into trouble. You will have to report to the Probation Officer 'Whenever that officer thinks, fit, and you will not he allowed out' after 7 o'clock at night unless accompanied by your parents."
