LONDON, 20th December. The following New Zealanders who were briaoners of war—chiefly in Ger^ nura nands^-have been released, and most of them have arrive- in England : Captain E. 0. Mousksy, R.F.A. (Auckland), who was captured at Knt, and hag been a prisoner in the hands of the Turks ever since, has returned home as a special envoy of the Turkish Government. He was formerly a master at King's College, Auckland. Captain E. T. R. Carlyon, Sherwood Foresters* who was captured on the Western Front more than two and a-half .years ago, after having- been severely wounded and lying in the shbw for a long period, was before the war a- student at Cambridge. He is the son of Mr. A. G. S. Carlyon, Hastings. Captain Carlyon was transferred to Switzerland eighteen months ago. Lceutenant K. W.; J. Hall, R.F.A., son of Mr. J. D. Hall (Christchurch), was taken prisoner about the middle of the. year, having been brought down at Schoote. He has reached London.
Captain G. D. Henderson, D.5.0., M.C., Royal West Kent Regiment (son of Mr. A. D. Henderson, of the New Zealand Farmers' Go-operative Association), was taken prisoner last April. He has been released for return to London.
Lieutenant ■_. I. Kirkcaldie, Black Watch (Dunedin), has reached England. Captain H. J. F. Mills, K.R.E.C. (son of Sir James and Lady Mills), was captured near the Belgian coast in July, 1017. He was previously severely injured in Salonika.
Leading-Stoker Archibald Wilson, R.N. (Wellington), was captured' by the Turks in the mishap to Submarine B8 in the Dardanelles.
Mr. Clulee (North-East Valley, Dunedin), who was taken ■'prisoner in the Otaki and has been in Germany since, has arrived in London on release. He was a stepson of Captain Smith, who went down with the ship.
