CHRISTCHURCH, 31st January. At a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, it was decided that subscriptions for the 1917-18 season be remitted. ■ \
The Auckland Association forwarded a resolution that the council.be asked to amend the rules governing the Heathcote Williams Shield matches so. as to give the local association the management thereof. It was decided that it bea recommendation to the management committee that all challenge matches be managed by the local associations. It was decided that an invitation be sent to the Marylebone team, which is to visit Australia^ to extend its tour to' New Zealand.
