The manufacture of slippers with! wooden soles and cloth, tops is a wartiriia . industry which has sprung up in Holland. The upper and inner parts of the slippers are formed of twill, corduroy, and woollen stuffs. Alk those materials are relatively cheap and yet make comfortable and durable- slippers. The cloth parts aro made by hand and_ the wooden soleg by machinery.
