DEATH OP "EMPEROR" LEBAUDY.

M_ Jaquss Lebaudy, the w>mantio French explorer,, who was fatally shot by his wife in New York recently, belonged to the Lebaudy family which made a huge fortune in sugajf" under the Third Empire. . He may be described as an adventurer, in the sense of the word as used in the "spurious days of great Elisabeth." He sought adventures and was full 'of grandiose, schemes.
