SCHOOL DESTROYED BY FIRE
(IT TIUORAPB.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
HAWERA, This Day. The Hawera Star's Opunake correspondent reports that the public school there was burnt to the ground at 1 o'clock this morning. When discovered, the building was well alight, and there was no possibility of saving it. The school was about lorty years old, and had been used as a temporary hospital during the epidemic, but as it .had been unoccupied for about three weeks the fire appears to be an incendiary one, A shed in which the school furniture and books are stored was not damaged.
Secure yourself from loss by fire by insuring with the Eagle and British Dominions Insurancs Company, Ltd., Office, Panama-street. Prompt settlement of claims is one of its leading features.—Advt.
