EXTENT OF DEMOBILISATION

LONDON, 29th January.
The Press Bureau states: Mr. Winston Churchill, Minister for War, announces that the air force on llth-12th December numbered 30,000 officers and 265,000 men, of.whom 1742 officers and 61,727 men have beeh demobilised. It is intended to retain during the current year 650 officers and 75.000 men, pending an announcement of the strength and terms of service of. the post-war air force for the fnture. Weekly bonuses costing three millions a year _ annually will be granted to members of the service.
