Long has joined the Corinna as third officer. ESSEX TO LOAD. Advice has been received by the New Zealand and African Company that the liner Essex is to len-ve Sydney to-morrow for Wellington. She is due next Thursday, and will load for Egypt at Wellington, Gisborne, and Napier. The Essex is to leave Wellington on the 21st February for Port Said, via Colombo. PORT LINCOLN DUE FEBRUARY. The Port Lincoln left New York on the 6th January for Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, and Brisbane. The vessel is expected at Auckland on the 7th February, and at Wellington about the- 13th February. The liner1 Malta will leave Wellington for London on Wednesday next. She wilt proceed via Colombo, Bombay, anil Suez. Owing to' a shortage of two seamen the French sailer Duquesne is stfll held up in the stream at Lyttelton. With a cargo of case oil for A. S. Pateraon and Co., the Auckland-owned barqnentine Lyman D. Foster arrived at Auckland from San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon after a smart run of 51 days.
