GREYMOUTH HARBOUR BOARD

MINISTER'S ACTION RESENTED

<IT TBLEOEAPn.—PKESS ASSOCIATION.)

GREYMOUMI, This Day.

The attempt made by the Government to wipe out the Greymouth Harbour Board was discussed at a meeting held last night, when members took strong exception to the Minister's alleged lack of courtesy in not consulting the board. The following motion was passed: "This board resents the action of the Minister in not consulting the board as promised before bringing in legislation dealing with the board's finance; and also the suggestion that the board has been guilty of. extravagance, which is absolutely without foundation. The fullest investigation is demanded into the board's administration." ■
