' A Sne sight was presented by the fun rigged ship Transocean, which sailed np the haroour before a fresh southerly breeze, and dropped anchor in the stream at 7.45 o'clock last evening, 59 days out from San Francisco. The vessel was met inside the Heads by the Karaka, and Captain Spence, deputy, harbourmaster, vent on board. Captain Carl H. Nystrom reported "all wen" after a fair -weather run with occasional gales. The vessel has brought 70,000 cases of oil, kerosene, and benzine, motorcars, and general cargo. The Traosocfcan is a particularly handsome iron vessel of the , clipper ship type, of 1431 tons net, and 1531 tons gross, her length being 254 ft. She is now owned at Helsingborg, but was first British owned under the name of the Skilmoretie. She was afterwards sold to French buyers, and ■waa renamed Carro Alegro. Subsequently the vessel was bought by a firm in Chili, who altered her name to Puerto Moult, and then passed into the hands of her present owners.. PORT SYDNEY FOR NEW ZEALAND. The C. and D. liner Port .Sydney is to leave • Sydney on Thursday next for Whangarei; Whakatane, Gisborne, and Wellington. She will leave Wellington for Port Said. THE POKT LYTTELTON.
