COMMISSION TO BE SET UP
FULL INQUIRY DESIRED The Prime Minister stated in the House of Representatives to-day that Cabinet had decided to appoint a Commission to inquire regarding the causes that led up to the influenza epidemic, how best to prevent a recurrence of such an epidemic, all matters connected with the berthing and arrival of the Niagara and the Makura, and also the administration of the Public Health Department and its relations with local authorities. Mr. Masaey added that Cabinet wished the inquiry to be as full and thorough as possible. The Minister of Public Health agreed with what was being done. The Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister of Public Health, said he desired and invited the most thorough investigation.
