WILL BRITAIN BE SAFEGUARDED? (Received December 9, 10. a.m.) NEW YORK, Bth December. Mr. W. H. Taft, in a speech, said that until Britain was satisfied that a League of Nations will safeguard her interests, she is justified in maintaining a sufficient navy. ■ The life of England ! depends on her security at sea. NEW YORK, 7th December. Organised business men throughout the United States have decided to send a commission to Paris to advise America's peace delegates at the Peace Conference on economic subjects if called upon.
