WORKERS' HOMES AT EVAN'S BAY
A clause in the "Washing-up" Bill, brought down in the House of Representatives this afternoon, provides that tha area of twelve acres at Evans Bay, acquired in 1912 by the City Council for recreation and defence purposes, may be used "for workers' dwellings, or sqch other municipal purposes as the Wellington City Council by resolution prescribes." ■■■■.'• " . j>.
