LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
The Legislative Council on Saturday passed through all stages the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Bill, and the Distillation Amendment- Bill.
The Council agreed to a further amendment made by the -House of Representatives in the Licensing Amend' inent Act. * '
A number of local Bills were received from the House of Representatives and, read a first time.
The Council adjourned at 11.25 p.m. until 10!30 o'clock to-day.
