Says the Feilding Star : Some of the oldest residents of Feilding point to the interesting fact that this town has never suffered from an epidemic. When diseases have swept over New Zealand Tiefore as the influenza scourge is doing now, FeiMmg has always escarped almost entirely. The reason for this most satisfactory historical fact may possibly be that the town has no congested areas, the residential section being very roomy. Other reasons given are the general healthiness of the soil and the climatic conditions. Those westerly gales which we grumble about sometimes may ba our best friends.
