Sir Eric Geddes (First Lord of the AdmiraLty) says that the Tenth Cruiser Squadron, which guarded the stretch from the Orkney Islands to Iceland, intercepted 15,000 ships carrying supplies to the enemy. Under 4 per centum of ships evaded the blockade.
