COURTESY AND RESTRAINT
BRITISH lARMY ORDER. (RTOTBR'S TELEGRAM.) LONDON, 4th December. A General Order which has been issued to the British Army of Occupation says : "Intercourse with the inhabitants of Germany must be confined to what is essential, and must be marked by courtesy and restraint. ■ It would be unseemly that anything approaching familiarity should be allowed to enter into the relations between the British soldiers and the men and women of thp German nation. Reparation and compensation from the German people are matters for the appointed authorities to take care of."
