GENERAL ELECTION DEMANDED. (BY TEMGRAPH.—SPECIAL 10 THE POST.) MASTERTON, This Day. At a. meeting of the Amalgamated Carpenters' and Joiners' Union, Masterton Branch, last night, the following motion was passed:—"That in view of the failure of the Arbitration Court to award ,increases in wages proportionate to the increase in the cost of living, and in view of the failure of the Government to use the powprs it has to stop the rise in prices and tho present exploitation, we urge that steps be taken to bring about a General Election as early as possible, so that the people may have an opportunity of electing a Government capable of protecting the interests of the workers of the country against exploiters."
