Motorists nnd others will be interested to know that in March, 1916, at the request of tho Central Prisoners of WaT Committee, tho R.A.C. started a fund to provido food and ot|ior necessaries for the civilian motor drivers interned at Ruhleben. Thoso men wero in private service in Germany at tho outbreak of war. Most of them, after all this tirno, aro stUl interned at Ruhloben. Since March, 1916, weekly parcels have been despatched to them out of the subscriptions given by members, associates, and motorists generally. Many letters and postcards have been received from, the men, a,t Euhlcben stating how much they appreciate the parcels, and it is clear from these communications that without such parcels from England, existenco in this prison camp, aa in other camps, would, be practically impossible. ■ Moreover, these parcels show the men that they aTe not forgotten by their friends in England.
