Some diacusijipri>tpok,..place, regarding 1 the assCciation'e Championship Congresses, which have not been held since January, 1915, owing to .the war. Jlt ; was generally ■ consideredAthat »s hostilities have come to an end. these congresses should. be resumed; a» soon,' as possible. As the next championship. meeting will be generally known as NewZealand's "Peace Tourney," several delegates suggested.Easter as»the most appropriate time for holding",the con--test (Easter Monda/ faUs on 21si;^April). To put the matter before the ""clubs, Mr. Connell moved that a Championship Congress be held next Easter, either, at' Wellington or at' Masterto'n.' Such a contest would,re-establish the championship title, which lapsed on Ist January,----1916, for the first time since '4th Sep- ! tember, 1879, w.hen the late Mr. Henry Hookham became New Zealand's champion. A further-meeting of the association is to be held, on the 2lst instant to finally consider'and determine .this matter. . '■ ■ ■ . Mr. Connell suggested "that the association should consider the .advisableness of issuing > monthly, or quarterly, publication, at a reasonable subscription. ■ He thought that the matter might be easily arranged if the various affiliated club* rallied round the scheme,: in which case the paper should,be selfsupporting; It was decided to ask the various clubs how many probable' subscribers they have 'in sigh£. • Messrs.
