PKAUCE.—Died of wounds in France on th« Bth October, 1918. Private Arthur Pearce, dearly beloved husband of Freda Pearce (nee Troon), and second son of Mr. C. A. Pearce, Sawyers Bay. Greater love hath no man. SlM.—Killed in action on the l^th October, 1918, somewhere in France, . Private Atbert James Sim (12th Reinforcements), fifth beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sim, Johnsonville; aged 38 years. "Killed in action," say the cables, That is all the tale they tell Of the brave young man that left in, Of the son we loved so well. WOIXAND.—Died of wounds somewhere in ' France on the Bth October, 1918, Private Stacey Maxborough Wolland, dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs: Q. W. Wolland, of No. 13. Tory-street, Petone; aged SI years and 2 months. His duty nobly done. IN MEMOKIAM. CASEY.—In loving memory of Sergt.-Major X. Casey, who was killed in action on the 3rd November, 1916.
