Police evidence was tp the effect that, Fawcett • gave . a great deal of trouble by struggling violently in the street, and eventually had to be conveyed to the station in. a. motor car. • He was ordered to make good the damage/and on the other charges was sentenced to fourteen days', imprisonment. Evidence will be heard on 9th October in regard to a more serious charge against Fawcett, of assaulting James Loftusi on 24th September and robbing him of £2.
