Mr. Balfour and Mr. Bonar Law conferred with My. Lloyd George concerning Bulgaria. A formal reply will be made only after consultation with the Allies. Meanwhile Bulgaria has been informed of the general outlines of the; Allies' policy, which precludes any suspension of military operations. It is, pointed out regarding eventual negotiations for a separate peace that military guarantees must be secured against Aus-tro-German aid to Bulgaria and against \ny Bulgarian attempt to react against the Eentente's operations in. the Balkans. • ' . The Paris newspaper Liberte states that the Allies are considering a French proposal regarding a joint reply to Bulgaria. Mr. Lloyd-George' and M. Olemericeau have exchanged views on the question, andiaTe in complete concord.
