The Randwick course proper was open for training operations. The weather was fine and the going good, favouring fast times. Gloaming, with O'Connor up, and running alone, covered nine furlongs in 2min 4isec. Finmark and Estland finished together at the end of 1£ ■ miles run in 2min 13^sec. • Biplane, going out alone with Deeley in the saddle, covered nine furlongs in 2min 4sec, the time for the last mile being Imin 43sec. Outlook beat' Eastcourt over a nine furlongs spin. Almoner and Kilmoon finished eyen at the end of seven furlongs, run'in Imin 32isec. Killowen ran a mile in Imin 46sec. Desert Gold, piloted by O'Shea, registered the star performance of the morning. Starting at the ten furlong post she pickedl up Killhope, with a, lightweight up, and they ran together seven furlongs, which were negotiated in Imin 31£ sec, with Desert Gold three-quarters of a length ahead. The whole journey took 2min ll^sec. St. Elmn beat Impedimenta, over a mile in Imin 51sec. Panacre did six furlongs in lmi^ 20sec; Rebus, 1\ . miles in 2min 16sec; Cetinge, a mile in Imin 47^sec. Cargou beat Kennaquhair by two lengths over a mile, the time being Imin 43sec.
