An inquiry was held by Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., this morning relative to the death of Thomas . Pope, aged 60 years, who was found dead in an outhouse at No. 11, Manners-street, on Thursday aftemopn. Evidence was giveu that the deceased was formerly a bil-liard-marker by occupation, but recently had been employed as.a steward on the Ngahere. Dr. Kington l;yffe, who had made a post-mortem examination on the body of the deceased, said that death was due to the bursting of a cyst, in the brain, and » verdict was retuwwi accordingly.
