LONDON, 15th Sept., 12.50 p.m. Sir Douglas Haig reports: North-west of St. Quentin we made further progress yesterday and at night, south and north of Holnon Wood. We repulsedl local hostile attacks at Trescault and on the La Bassee sector. The hostile artilTery was active at night on the Roisel, Moeuvres, Marquion, and Givenchy sectors, and used gas shells north-west of Armentieres. '" /
