AUCKLAND MANUFACTURERS' , EXPERIMENT..
(BY TELSGBAPn.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Macky, Logan, and Caldwell, Ltd., and Arch. Clark and Sons, clothing manufacturers, have decided to adopt a five-day week on the employees giving an undertaking that there will be no reductionx, in the output, as an experiment for four months. The Clothing Manufacturers' Union of Employees dis"cussed the scheme, and referred it to the executive for a report. It is understood that most of the other factories will follow the lead of the large manufacturers. Only women are to ba employed in the factories concerned.
