DEFENDER SALVAGE WORK
Captain Jelly, who has undertaken to salve the machinery of the Defender, which is aground just off Somes Island, commenced operations to-day. As far as can be observed from the Signal Station, a Post reporter learnt, Captain Jelly has succeeded in raising the vessel's boiler. •
