LISTS OF C 2 MEN.
' The Defence Department is arranging for the compilation and."publication of lists of men classified C 2 (unfit for active service abroad) anAD (unfit for any ser-j .Vice whatever). The list will "require to I be published in sections, and the first in- j stalments will deal- withf-Mrst Division-j men drawn in the.Jirstballots.^iA.complete list will not be available until .the C 2 Re-examination Board (now on its' third itinerary)*has finished its re-exam-ination of First Division reservists. Jhe ; publication of such a list was' recommended by the Defence Expenditure .Commission (which also recommended the g'rotmds of exemption-should be -as.tending 1 to put'an end to rumours regarding the fate of men drawn in tha ballot. At, present all menpassed -fit are publicly accounted'for. ' If. they" Center rcamp their iiames appear in 'the press, if they are exempted or granted extension of time by the Military Service' Boards the information is public, if they are defaulters' their names are gazetted in due-course.
