Sir,—l read with- interest the letter of "A Woman Citizen," with, reference to the milk supply of Wellington. The indictments in this letter against the present conditions" are such as to call for an absolute refutation or drastic measures on the part of those concerned. If it were true, as, is alleged, that the main' source of contamination of milk is on the farms themselves, then it certainly behoves the council to go further than they appear to have gone in. dealing with tho question, so far. The present cold weather is an excellent time for preparation, atthougTi not a. good time for arousing the interest of the public, because milk, even though contaminated, keeps fairly well at such low temperatures as we have been having lately.
