SHORTT'S THEATRE.

"The Claim,". ,which is now being shown with great success at Shorbt's Theatre, is' a Metro production, featuring Edith Storey. .'Ted Jerome deserts his wife, and goes to the' mining camp of El Dorado, where ho falls in love with Kate "M'Donald. He marries her, but Kate's brother John learns of Jerome's bigamous marriage, and throws him over a cliff. Belle, Jerome's first wife, arrives at the camp as Ted's body is being brought in. Feeling that she is unable to support her child, properly, she leaves her in the hotel. The child is adopted by John., who later strikes a rich claim. Then Belle decides to blackmail him,^ but, instead, love comes to them, and they are married 1. The story is of a very exciting nature, cleverly constructed, and well photographed. The part, of John M'Donald is taken by Wheeler Oakman, who appeared in "The Ne'er-do-Well." Chapter sixteen of "The Great Secret" is also being shown. ■•.'..
