THE WEATHER
T!he anti-cyclone which was accountable for tho fair weather over the Dominion at the week-end is' . now moving slowly eastward and giving place to a westerly disturbance. Moderate westerly gales'were reported at Cape Campbell this morning—as they have been blowing locally—and. conditions have become unsettled already in the "Vest- Coast districts of the South Island. The southerlies died down, on Saturday, and variable breezes prevailed yesterday. Moderate to strong nortberlies and westerlies now predominate, and are likely to increase generally. Tho barometer will fall further everywhere., with unsettled and cloudy weather, preceding Tain generally. Heavy rain may be expected on the West Coast, and snow on higher levels in tho south.
