at tha Ministry of Food. Mr. Clynes, in welcoming the members, said he regretted that the shipping stringency had mad© it impossible for the Government to avail itself of the essential commodities of food, and clothing of which Australia and New Zealand had bean great suppliers. He would be very glad if the situation could be relieved so as to enable tho importation of food from the remote parts of the Empire. The Government was applying itstelf to this problem with tho greatest sympathy and earnestness.
