Sailed—Kamo (2.20 a.m.), for Wellington Miller Bros, at their boat-building yards, near the Lyttelton graving dock, have almost completed, to the order of Johnston and Son, Lyttelton, a motor trawler, which is regarded as a model of -workmanship (the Christchurch Sun reports). Hor main dimensions are:— Length, 45ft over all; beam, lift; and moulded depth, sft. She will be fitted with an Anderson semi-Diesel crude oil engine of 25 horse power, and is expected to attain a spe«d of nine knots. The vessel will be equipped with a trawling winch and all other necessary appliances: and there is an extensive fish hold forward. The hull is constructed of -kauri, with copper fastenings. In addition to being locally designed, she is the first trawler that has been built entirely by Lyttelton firms.
