"JOAN THE WOMAN."

The unconquerable spirit'of France is the great themo of the picture "Joan the Woman," which opens a season at tho Crown Theatre, Molesworth-street, next Friday evening. For this performance, the gross proceeds go to the Red Cross Copper Trail, for the film, the theatre, and the whole staff are given free to help the trail to make a good bound forward. All the best scats in the theatre arc being reserved, and although the charge of 5a is higher than usually paid for pictures, the workers for the trail who saw ii preliminary display of the film arc quite satisfied 'that there is excellent value for the money. No ordinary stage production could, we are told, present on sucli a lavish scale, either in the way of pageantry or brilliance of cast, this magnificent historical story.
