EXAMINATION RESULTS

The results of the Sunday School scholars' examination, held on 6th July, are now available. Of 527 scholars who competed, 169 gained 75 marks or over, thus securing a prize and first-class csrtificate; 176 earned between 59 and 75 marks, thus securing a second-class certificate ; 42 earned 40 and under 60 marks, which entitled them to a thirdclass certificate. In addition, all the schools in the Palmerston North and immediate neighbourhood had largo entries, but these scholars are being ex-' amined locally, the Palmerston Union providing the awards. The prizes and certificates won by city and suburban scholara will be presented by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke, C.M.G.) at a meeting to be held on 30th August. The examiners were : Mesdames T. H.
