RED CROSS PICTURE EVENT.
Preparations for the Red Cross picture benefit at the Crown Theatre next Friday indicate that the patriotic workers anticipate a fashionable audience. And when the merits of the picture, "Joan the Woman," become better known, it will be realised that the charge of 5s for booked seats will ensure the amuse-ment-seeker good value, with the additional satisfaction of adding about two yards to the Copper Trail. A special musical score which accompanies the picture will be rendered by an orchestra of well-known players. Seata are being booked at the Bristol.
