He was fond of playing jokes on his wife, and this time he thought ha had a winner.

"Yes?" gaspod the. wife, breathlessly. "That she'd got a young man in her eye!" tmded the husband, with ft chuckle. For a moment there was silence. Then tho lady remarked, slowly: "Well, it. would depend on what sort of a, man it was. Some of tlieni she could have soon through easily enough."
