A BIG EARTHQUAKE RECORDED IN SYDNEY.
(ONITED PRSSS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (Received August 17, 1 p.m.), SYDNEY, This Day. The largest earthquake record ever made in Sydney was registered at the Observatory on Thursday night. The source of the disturbance was 3450 miles from Sydney. The shock was so violent that the pointer of the seismograph was displaced.
