MOTOR CYCLES WIN FAVOUR. IN JAPAN.
That the advantages of motor-cycle equipment in the transportation of mail are appreciated by the Japanese Government is indicated by the recent purchase of eight machines with side cars of woven wicker for use by the Tokio Post Office. These are not the first motorcycles that the Japa.nese have used, however, but are additions to the already large number that are now in service, replacing the old coolie-drawn rickshaws that for ages have been used for this purpose.
