MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS
NEW RULES MADE.
It has been decided by the recruiting authorities that in future all medical examinations of reservists must take place in the districts in which the reservists reside. For example, a Wellington resident will not be permitted to undergo medical examination in Christchurch or Auckland. In the past the practice of carrying out the examination of reservists from other districts has caused trouble, and has led to complaints that a reservist was seeking special favour away from his own district. Applications for re-examination must now be made to the group commander in all cases. The group commander will transmit /the application to the district headquarters (medical), by whom a decision will be forwarded to the Director of Recruiting, who will advise the applicant of the result.
