EDUCATION CONFERENCE
A QUESTION OF CO-ORDINATION.
(BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Education Conference resumed its sittings to-day. Mr. G. T. Aschnian, on behalf of the Educational Institute,- moved that provision be made for closer co-ordination in the curricula and methods of instruction in primary, secondary, and technical departments of the education system. Mr." Caughley, Assistant-Director of Education, remarked that co-ordination was being forced upon.primary and secondary schools, but technical education had not yet quite found itself. It must be considered in the education scheme as a whole, because it was a very valuable section.
After a good deal of discussion, the motion was caii'ied unanimously.
