SUNDAY CONCERT.
At His Majesty's Theatre, on Sunday evening next, the Natives' Association Band will give another of the very excellent concerts for which it is noted. Patrons are promised a musical treat, as an exceptionally good programme has been prepared. Mr. Harry Phipps, tenor, the winner of five first prizes at the recent competitions at Christchurch, has been specially engaged, and will sing "Sweet Early Violets," and other songs. Mr. R. Meates, the popular basso, ■will eing ''Tht Mighty Deep," etc. Mr. A. S. Hilliker, 'cello soloist, will play "La Cinquantaine," and other numbers. A splendid contest selection from Verdi's charming opera "II Trovatore" is included 1 in the items to be given by the band. A silver coin collection will be made.
